Reading notes

I cannot believe that I pretty much read this whole book! I remember getting this text book in the mail before the start of this class and feeling very overwhelmed by the size of this text book. There were some parts that I found very interesting and then there were some that definitely put me to sleep...(industrial revolution).

Chapter 20:
I found this chapter the most interesting out of the 4. I have always had an interest in the world war II and everything that had to do with it, from the propaganda used in the U.S to Pearl Harbor. I've visited the Pearl Harbor memorial several times in Hawaii as well as the holocaust museum in D.C.  I always wonder what life must have been like for those people living during that time.

Brief notes
-World War I 1914-1918 not intentional
-Followed was the great depression
-European Fascism comes about between 1919 and 1945
-Nazi party is established under Hitlers leadership
-World War II 1937-1945
-World War II was the most destructive ( new technology)

Chapter 21:
The part that stood out to me most from this chapter was the section on communist feminism. I believe that a lot of the things occurring during this time were very revolutionary, for example legalizing divorce and abortion!. This was something I did not know occurred during this time.
