Spain and Mexico

I found these chapter so far to be the most interesting ones to read as well as the easiest. I found the section about European conquest in Mexico probably the most interesting. My fathers side of the family can most closely trace their heritage to Spain. Ive always been curious of our genetic makeup. There is this story that my grandfather used to tell my father, that was told to him by his grandparents, about how when they first arrived to Mexico and were terrified of the native people. He said that they would hide in caves from them. My grandfather has since passed away and I wish his stories were documented. I find these stories so interesting and would love to learn more about my families history, unfortunately back in those days and especially in Mexico, there was not much documentation.
